Feedback from our workshop and training courses

Feedback from parents

"[The trainer] was an excellent trainer. He was very inclusive and it was a breath of fresh air compared to some professionals I meet when dealing with my sons needs. [The trainer] offered some brilliant advice throughout the course, some of which has hopefully got us on the road some adjustments and better recognition of my sons needs.’"

"I feel that the course was very informative and helped me see where I was going wrong and falling into patterns of behaviour that were not positive for my child. [The trainer] really helped understand the points being discussed by giving relevant examples. We had [a different trainer] for one session, and she too was great at helping me see a different perspective."

"Massive thank you to [the trainer]! Really informative person. Lots of really great strategies learnt and a positive impact on self development. I am really grateful for the time and effort he has put into the course and have already recommended the course to others."

"[I've learnt] how to view things from [my son's] point of view, techniques for helping him become independent e.g. take responsibility for bedtime routines, getting ready for school routines."

"I liked the fact it wasn't just reading a PowerPoint presentation and that it was interactive. I learnt more about autism than I had before when I did a psychology and education studies degree and all of it is going to be so useful in our journey to help our son."

"[The trainer] was great, he explained everything in a clear and understandable way. I have a better perspective of my child's life now."

"The course and [the trainer] were amazing! We have grown in confidence with knowledge of how best to support our daughter. We see a positive pathway through life for her now that we understand how to advocate for her and eventually for her to advocate for herself."

"'I first attended this course thinking it would be another generic tick box autism training course. However, instead my mind was blown away. I have worked with autistic adults for 15 years and cannot say that my training has even touched on the content we explored in this programme. I felt emotional after each session due to the validation and relatability of the content I absorbed. Having content delivered by autistic individuals is so important to me because of the lived experiences and understanding from an autistic perspective. [The trainer's passion and drive to ensure that all parents have the knowledge and tools to advocate and support their own child is very clear. Being able to identify my own neurodiverse challenges and link them to my own personal experience of growing up undiagnosed, has pushed me to a place where I feel confident and ready to fight for what my own children deserve. Thank you, I will be spreading the word to all who will lend an ear about this course because it will honestly change our children's lives for the better."

School feedback

"The course was a brilliant opportunity to learn more about how autistic people think and how we may be able to create an environment which facilitate their learning/education and their mental and emotional needs. I would like to thank the organisers for providing this course and especially our trainer who conducted some very informative and educational session with a range of interactive examples."

"[The trainer] was brilliant - highly recommended. Engaging and interesting. Thank you."

Autistic adult feedback

"[The trainer] was really fantastic. I found this course so much more engaging as it was delivered by someone who gets it. [The trainer] was not just reading the slides to convey information, she helped to bring the words alive with personal experience. Having the group relay their experiences too really helped to make me feel like I was not at all alone with what I had for years thought was 'just that weird thing I do when'. I will be recommending this course to everyone I can. Thank you so much."

"[The trainer was brilliant. Very engaging and positive about autism."
