Good Governance Code

Good governance is fundamental to a charity’s success. It enables and supports a charity’s compliance with the law and relevant regulations. It also promotes a culture in which everything works towards fulfilling the charity’s vision.

About this Code: This Code is a practical tool to help charities and their trustees develop high standards of governance. Read more about this Code, using this Code to review governance and extra advice from our steering group partners.

The Code refresh: The Code steering group refreshed the Code at the end of 2020. Visit the Updating the Code page to learn about the changes.
