Ben and Alisha's Fundraising Story: London's first-ever virtual Marathon

On Sunday 4th October over 36,000 people participated and completed London Marathon’s first-ever virtual event.

High winds, heavy rain and muddy tracks didn’t stop Ben and Alisha, from SERT, battling on and completing their socially distanced 26.2 miles to support Autism Hampshire. This year’s changes meant that the race could be completed in a 24-hour time frame – Your Race Your Way!

Ben and Alisha took this all into their stride and planned their route through the Meon Valley Railway Trail, starting in West Meon. This off-road trail took them through lovely countryside villages, Droxford and Wickham.

Here’s a video they created documenting their race!

With the support of friends and family cheering them on, Ben and Alisha completed the marathon in a time of 6 hours 40 minutes. What an amazing achievement and we thank them very much for their support and raising funds in a time of hardship for everyone. There is still time to support and donate, please follow this link.
