On the 3rd of October, Alisha, Ben and Jaqueline ran in the London marathon, to support Autism Hampshire. The many hours and dedication along with training to just even reach the starting line would put many people off. To then run 26.2 miles is a great achievement that not many would be able to accomplish. We are very proud of them; we thank them very much for choosing to support us.
“26.2 miles sounded easy at first, little did I know just how far it was!” stated Alisha. “But I was running the marathon for Autism Hampshire and that’s what mattered.”
Jaqueline told us: “I have a son with ADHD plus Autism and a Neurodivergent daughter.” She also told us “I myself have ADHD with autistic traits, I therefore understand the needs autistic people have. Help is only possible with funding.”
Jaqueline raised £1901.25p from her run in the marathon. Alisha and Ben together raised £3009.02p with GIFT AID totals included.
