A new Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) service for autistic and/or ADHD adults is now live across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, providing a single, trusted point of access to support for neurodivergent people.

Led by Autism Hampshire and commissioned by NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board, the service is open to adults aged 18 and over, whether or not they have a formal diagnosis. It has been designed to remove barriers to support by offering early access to information, advice and guidance without the need for referral or assessment.

Delivered through a partnership of organisations with strong local knowledge and experience, the service brings together Hampshire Mind CIC - Andover Mind, Havant and East Hants Mind, Solent Mind and AIM Isle of Wight. Together, partners provide extensive reach across Hampshire, Southampton and the Isle of Wight, ensuring people can access consistent, high-quality support close to where they live.

The service acts as a single point of access for a wide range of individuals, including autistic adults, ADHD adults, people who think they may be neurodivergent, those who are self-diagnosed or waiting for assessment, and professionals seeking advice. By simplifying how people find and access support, it aims to reduce delays, increase confidence, and help individuals take the next steps that are right for them.

As part of the offer, four Autism and ADHD Community Hubs for adults aged 18+ will be established across North Hampshire, South East Hampshire, Southampton and the Isle of Wight. These hubs will provide welcoming, accessible spaces where people can access face-to-face Information, Advice and Guidance, connect with others, and learn about services available in their local communities. They will also offer bookable peer support sessions, one-to-one appointments and opportunities to engage in local activities.

Alongside face-to-face support, the service provides flexible access to Information, Advice and Guidance via phone and email, as well as digital resources and toolkits. Individuals can receive support to understand available services, explore their options, and access appropriate local and community-based support through signposting and referral pathways.

Lived experience is central to the design and delivery of the service. Autistic and ADHD adults have been involved throughout, co-designing, co-delivering and co-evaluating the service to ensure it is accessible, relevant and responsive to the needs of neurodivergent people.
