Autism Hampshire volunteers have been recognised for their outstanding contribution to the local community at this year’s Portsmouth Inspiring Volunteer Awards 2025.
The annual awards ceremony, run by Hive, recognises the incredible contribution of those who give up their time to make the city a better place, expecting nothing in return.
Earlier this year, our volunteer team received a nomination for the Inspiring Volunteer Award - formally recognising their incredible dedication and impact within the community.
Alongside the certificate, the letter from HIVE Portsmouth acknowledged the difference our volunteers make every day.
“Your teamwork, compassion, and commitment to supporting others through volunteering truly embody the spirit of community that these awards aim to celebrate.
“Volunteer groups like yours are the heart of our community… The impact you've made brings hope, joy, and strength to many.”
From providing a warm welcome at our local groups, to ensuring our community feel understood and included, our Portsmouth volunteers play a vital role in helping autistic people feel supported and connected.
It is thanks to each and every one of our volunteers, in Portsmouth and the whole of Hampshire, that autistic people feel valued and understood.
Their kindness, time, and dedication help create safe spaces where people can be themselves, form friendships, and feel part of something special.
