The National Police Autism Association is an independent body representing UK police officers and police staff who are affected by autism spectrum condition and Asperger syndrome, either personally or caring for family members with the condition.

The National Police Autism Association, (NPAA), assists police forces in supporting employees affected by autism. They advocate the concept of neurodiversity – valuing people for their strengths and creating a workplace environment and culture in which everyone can fulfil their potential.

They also promote best practices for UK police forces working with members of public affected by autism, either as victims of crime, witnesses or suspects.

The National Police Autism Association, (NPAA), is affiliated with the Disabled Police Association, and shares the DPA’s goal of ending all forms of discrimination towards people with disabilities. They are committed to improving the reporting, recording and investigation of disability-related hate crime (which people with autism are particularly vulnerable to), and champion and publicise police action against this type of crime.

The National Police Autism Association, (NPAA), was founded by a Hampshire Constabulary front-line police officer. They meet online on a web forum that is restricted to NPAA members, Criminal Justice System staff and autism support professionals.
