Contact

Norman Gate School is a primary school for children aged 2-11 with a range of learning difficulties. There are approximately 60 children on roll in six classes in school, on average 12 children per class, one teacher and usually two or three learning support assistants this includes 20 part-time children in the nursery.

The school believes that children develop best in a positive environment where they are nurtured and their self esteem can grow, and enables their pupils to access a wide variety of learning experiences, presented in a variety of ways to meet the needs of all different learning styles. Children are encouraged to ‘have a go’ knowing that they are well supported and so are safe to do so.

Norman Gate is accredited as a Rights Respecting school and the work of the school puts children's rights at the centre of all that they do. Showing respect for one another is at the core of school life.
