The objective of the project is to enable anxious or socially vulnerable children and young people to feel more engaged with mainstream education and social activity by helping them develop their self-confidence, self-esteem and their coping skills. Children are supported through individual and group work interventions.

The ultimate aim is to facilitate social inclusion by promoting emotional well-being and positive mental health among children and young people.

There is a junior youth group (ages 9-13), which meets on Tuesdays during term time from 4:30-6:00 pm. Activities regularly include cooking, crafts and film nights. This group are also shares some activities with the senior youth group.

The senior youth group (ages 13-18), Next Generation Socialisation (NGS), meets on Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30 pm. They have a varied programme, both in and out of the centre. This group gives opportunities to socialise with peers and have opportunities to participate in many different activities. The young people themselves have input into the termly programme.

Activities also take place during the summer school holidays with summer programmes, family picnics and days out.

Places are by referral only by parents or professionals
