The aim at Mayflower Theatre is to provide first-class entertainment that can be enjoyed by the largest audience possible and they are continually striving to achieve this goal.

In 2016 they achieved the Beautiful South Access For All Gold Award for Access, in recognition of their effort to provide accessibility for all, within the confines of a 1928 building. They provide regular relaxed performances. A relaxed performance is specifically designed to welcome people who will benefit from a more relaxed performance environment, including people on the autism spectrum, with sensory and communication difficulties, or a learning disability. There is a relaxed attitude to noise and movement and some small changes may be made to the light and sound effects.
