THOMAS Training - Hampshire County Council

THOMAS stands for The Hampshire Outline for Meeting the needs of the under fives on the Autism Spectrum. The approach has been running for over 10 years now and outcomes from evaluation over this time have been very positive.

THOMAS training

This is a three-day training programme primarily for practitioners working in the Early Years Foundation Stage. There are also a limited number of subsidised places for parents of children with autism or related social communication difficulties. In addition to developing an understanding of the needs of children with autism, the training covers a range of strategies to support children in relation to their communication, play, behaviour and ability to manage transitions and change.
